The United Way Greater Simcoe County funding process for the current year is now closed as the deadline has passed. Applications for funding are no longer being accepted. Applications will be available again in the fall of 2012.
Submitted Applications for 2011
In December 2011
Applications that came in before the deadline are currently being assessed. The UWGSC Community Impact Manager will review and score each application and provide an assessment to the Community Impact Council using the following scoring tools:
Separately, the UWGSC Director of Finance and Administration will review applying agencies' audited financial statements and provide an assessment to the Community Impact Council.
January 2012 – March 2012
The Community Impact Council will review all applications, as well as the assessments from the Community Impact Manager and the Director of Finance and Administration.
The Community Impact Council will then conduct interviews in the last three weeks of January 2012. The interview document for both streams of funding is found HERE. Depending on the scoring of your application, you will be asked some or all of these questions. Interviews will be scheduled in advance. Applying agencies will be contacted to schedule an interview in mid-December 2011.
The Community Impact Council will then provide its recommendations to the United Way Greater Simcoe County Community Impact Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee will review the assessments and provide a final recommendation to the UWGSC Board of Directors about funding allocations.
The Board of Directors will then convene and make a final decision about funding.
Letters are subsequently drafted so all agencies are informed of the funding decision in writing by March 15, 2012.
NOTE: Agencies successful in securing United Way Greater Simcoe County funding are required to complete an Annual Review.This document should be reviewed so Agencies know in advance what reporting is required. This report is due annually on May 15 for each year of funding received.
