A United Way personal giving page allows you, as an individual, the opportunity to make a difference by reaching out to friends, family and associates via an online account.
When you reach out to your network, it is helpful to explain your personal connection to United Way. Why are you involved, and how have you been touched by UW?
The need is great across Simcoe County and every bit helps. Online giving is a relatively recent phenomenon. This online tool allows you to reach out to your own online community and help us to expand our reach, engage new donors and increase awareness of local social needs.
These personal giving pages are secure, and abide by the privacy policy of United Way Canada/Centraide. Automatic income tax receipting will occur for all donations of $20 or more.
Together we can make a difference. When you invest in United Way, you invest in your community. All money raised in Simcoe County stays in Simcoe County. Thanks to your support, UWGSC impacts the lives of more than 150,000 people each year. By investing in United Way, you are helping 1 in 3 residents, through the 33 agencies and over 60 programs that we fund each year. We are a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. Don't underestimate the impact of your contribution.
Community resources are brought together through United Way. Volunteers, service providers, professionals, corporations, individuals and organized labor all come together with one purpose - to help those in need, to build the capacity of our agencies to deliver high quality services and to address the root causes of social issues. No one organization or single level of government can solve our shared problems working alone. Together we can build a healthy, caring and inclusive community.
Your support helps people every day in some way. Circumstances can change quickly. Chances are that you, or someone you know, may have received our help over the years.
In 2009, we celebrated our 50th anniversary and together we raised $1.53 million - despite the economic downturn. UW has been making a difference in our community for 50 years by assessing needs and distributing funds to those in need. Simcoe County has witnessed incredible growth and the infrastructure simply has not kept pace. We are playing catch up.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
